The discussion of nipple drinking systems contra cup drinking for broiler chickens has been settled in favour of cup drinking. Comparative tests conducted by USDA South Central Poultry Research Laboratory, Mississippi, USA, show that the heaviest body weights were always achieved with cup drinking systems.

The LifeLine system from DACS confirms the test results mentioned above. The day-old birds drink immediately after arriving in the shed, and with a capacity of 800 ml/min per cup there is plenty of water for the full grown birds, too, even under extreme conditions. The LifeLine system is a spillage free system, leaving a dry litter throughout the growth period.
